Winter fun continues as we ski, snowboard, ice skate and cross country ski! We are very short on drivers for this week and are in need of parent drivers in particular for ice skating. Tuesday, January 27th - SNOW DAY! SMS Potluck Dinner & Talent show rescheduled to next Tuesday, February 3rd (5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.)
Due to the impending winter storm, tomorrow's
(Tuesday, January 27th) Talent Show and Potluck Supper has been
rescheduled to next Tuesday, February 3rd. The event will take place in
Rand Hall and food service will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m.
This year, we will be dining during the performance! As soon as everyone is seated with their plate, the show will go on!
We ask that parents of performers/performers arrive in Rand Hall between 4:45 and 5:00 p.m. to give the performers a chance to eat before the show begins. We'd like all performers ready to go when the audience begins to arrive.

Wednesday, January 28th – Are You Smarter than a SMS Student? (2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.)
Please join our panel of staff, parents and students during our annual battle of the brains! We are thrilled this year to welcome Mr. Peter Richards as our host.
Thursday, January 29th - The SMS Read-a-Thon (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) and SMS to participate in the installation of Bishop Coyne in Burlington!
Calling all book worms! Bring your favorite books, a pillow and join us as we read the day away!
SMS was honored to receive an invite to be an active participant during Bishop Coyne’s installation in Burlington. 8th grade students Natalya Forkin and Darcy Bates will be singing during the installation in the Catholic Schools Choir. Principal Beam was chosen by the Diocese to represent all Catholic Schools during the installation. Kalin Noble, Meghan Forrett and Principal Beam will have the opportunity to welcome Bishop Coyne to his new role.
Friday, January 30th – Student Appreciation Breakfast/Dress-UP Day/Early Release at 11:45 a.m.
We invite all students to dress up on this final day of events! The SMS Faculty and Staff will be serving our students a lovely appreciation breakfast and we’ll have a special visit from a guest magician. Early release at 11:45 a.m. – There will be no lunch service. Aftercare will be available until 3:00 p.m.

Our student mass collection schedule for the month of November has been confirmed. We are looking for 4 SMS students per Mass for the upcoming student collection masses at Saint Michael Church the weekend of January 17th (1 mass on January 17th and 3 masses on January 18th). Student collection Masses are scheduled once per month and generally take place on the third weekend of the month. *Parents, please schedule your children for the Masses that best suit your family's schedule(s). To sign-up, please click on the Mass listed on the date, add your child's first and last name and hit SAVE. If you need assistance, please contact the office. *If all the slots are not filled voluntarily by families, the school office will schedule participation on your behalf.*
